Copperlode Dam is one of the many pristine and peaceful places just outside of the city and is a stunning drive up the range – always longer then anticipated. We have now taken 2 separate groups of radtimers up to experience fishing from a kayak and paddle boarding around the glassy fresh water surrounded by lush green rainforest. Copperlode Fish and Kayak offers a great adventure for everyone that loves the outdoors, and its so much fun catching the little Archer Fish (catch and release of course). We added some extra laughs by playing SUP frizbee and tested out our balancing act with some SUP yoga. The dam is a perfect morning activity and we always pack a little picnic up, find a tree and take it all in. Keep and eye our for the local wildlife like cassowaries, pelicans, barra, and turtles.
